A Circus Tent Pops Up at Festival City Mall, Black Coffee Opens Ushuaïa's Season, Plus the Gipsy Kings Go Symphonic!

Morning!

A circus tent has gone up at Dubai Festival City Mall, with trapeze artists, 3D projection and a story about a girl who wants to soar through the skies, which is more ambition than most shopping trips.

Also this week: Ushuaïa Dubai Harbour opens its new season on Saturday with Black Coffee on the decks, the Gipsy Kings go symphonic at the Opera, and Nancy Ajram headlines Coca-Cola Arena.

THE DUBAI DIGEST

🍝 - A Frenchman Opens an Italian Restaurant on the Water
Yannick Alléno's Casea 101 opens at One&Only The Palm on Monday, a waterfront spot built around seafood towers, fire-cooked catches and pizza from an open kitchen. Nobody's explained why the French chef picked Italian, but nobody's complaining either. | Read More

🌉 - A New Bridge Means One Less Taxi Queue
A footbridge now links Jumeirah Golf Estates Metro station straight to Etihad Rail's Al Yalayis station, a five to seven minute walk instead of a drive round. It opened Thursday, so the commute just got a little less tedious. | Read More

🚦 - Al Satwa's Roundabout Finally Picks a Lane
The RTA has turned Al Satwa Roundabout into a signalised junction, and says journey times are down 50% with peak queues cut by up to 60%. One less excuse for turning up late. | Read More

💦 - Legoland's Getting a Little Brother
Dubai Holding Entertainment's CEO has confirmed a brand new waterpark is coming to Dubai Parks and Resorts within the next couple of months, built specifically for summer. No rides announced yet, so start practising your best scream. | Read More

The page also promises cotton candy clouds and towering popcorn mountains, so maybe skip lunch.

🏡 - Sobha Hartland - a garden with a lagoon
📍 - Sobha Estate Villas, Sobha Hartland
💰 - 38,000,000 AED
🛏️ - 5 Bedrooms | 🛁 8 Bathrooms
📷 - @famproperties

Five bedrooms, eight bathrooms and 7,407 square feet of custom-built villa, with a travertine facade, Greek marble floors and views of the lagoon and Burj Khalifa. The garden steps straight into the crystal lagoon, which is more than most gardens can say for themselves.

There is a private pool too, and an Italian Scavolini kitchen, for the days the lagoon feels like too much effort. Nothing on the page says sold or under offer.
